BED BUGS!!! We stayed at this hotel two nights and we spent the next three days out of work because of bed bugs. At 2am while we were there, two women showed us a video of live bed bugs running around on their mattress. They ended up leaving a day early because of the horror. I approached the owner for a refund and complaint but he pointed out the sign on the back of the room door that read "No refunds under any circumstance." I also contacted the mayor but he said the owner of the hotel is responsible. ICK!
This is a honest review. The place was disgustingly dirty, the sheets were not changed. I used my phone for light and the bed was full of black hair Gross. the dishwater had mold in it. It had a terrible odor. The door lock was broke and we were at the top of the steps, People could see in because the blinds were all bent and missing parts of them. The only good thing is you are minutes from the beach. Needless to say we left I will forever be scarred by this experience . well known hotels for us only now. So enter at your own risk DON"T DO IT !!!!
The location was amazing. Extremely local to absolutely everything, beach, bars, and shops. The apartment itself was in need of a few repairs however. The window was out of it's panel the bathroom door was installed upside-down. One of the window blinds was broken and fell out of place at the slightest touch. But it was great as a place to sleep and incredibly affordable.
We stayed here back in March-April for a few nights. Got the apartment and requested easy access because of a disability. The owner put us in the apartment on the first floor next to the street which was perfect for me. The stay in this apartment was out of this world as it had a bedroom, laundry, bathroom, living room and tv, a futon and kitchen table and a full kitchen with a stove, coffee pot, fridge, and microwave. This enabled us to cook our meals mostly in our room witch is a big deal for us. So needless to say we will be booking this same apartment for a 4 night stay in Oct. here in a few days.. and did I mention just two blocks to the boardwalk!!
Terrible!! The parking is a scam first off. The outlets had burn marks around them and for as cheap as the place is there isn't no reason to put someone's life in danger such as a fire hazard. I'm just glad it wasn't that hot during my visit because I would be too scared to even plug in the ac. Well speaking of the ac unit that was hanging out the window and had duct tape around the whole unit and even duct tape on the broke blinds. I guess duct tape is good for everything. The TV wasn't stable and it wouldn't even turn towards the bed. The light fixture was hanging off the wall as well. The manager should set aside some money for well needed repairs.
