Overall the stay was good. Spacious clean room. Staff nice.
The breakfast needs improving. There were plenty of options for food, so it is not a deal breaker, but the scrambled "eggs" were not eggs. They looked like eggs but did not feel or taste like them...bad. Lots to choose from though - yogurt, hard boiled eggs, cereal, sausages, fruit...
The staff were great. Suite room had plenty of space for our family of 4. 10 min walk to the beach. All the staff asked how our stay was going and offered to assist. Great beach stay!
Did not see real butter either...just butter blend...blah.
We had several issues with this hotel. The biggest in part was the $325 in hidden fees they decided to charge us for occupying a suite with 6 people (it is intended to house 6 people). Secondly the General Manager asked for me to write down the names of our family members on a blank folded piece of paper. When I thought this was suspicious and asked why he replied it was company policy. Not only was this NOT company policy, but highly unethical and an invasion of privacy. This hotel has been getting away with scamming people for years so people spread the word. We also had a severe ant problem in our bathroom, to which we complained and no action was taken. I'm guessing they were their pets. PLEASE DO NOT STAY HERE! THEY ARE THIEVES!
However the wifi did not work from our room.
Literally didn't make it pass the front door after being told "they had no room for people like me" there! This was after I called in advance (about 2 mins prior to walking in) to check availability. The front desk agent told me there was a room available on the phone. It was one of the most racist and degrading experience of my life. I have never been treated in such a manner. I'm just grateful that my 2 year old daughter; who was with me didn't understand what happened. I will absolutely not recommend this establishment to anyone! I will certainly inform corporate about this situation and the lack of respect and professionalism their employee exhibited. And the foul manner, by which the employee represented them!
The motel is just on the cusp of being outside of walking distance of the beach. It's not ridiculous, but there are closer options that I'd recommend sooner. Other than that, the quality is great. Service and staff are what you'd expect from any other hotel.
