I live in Baltimore and drive 2.5 hours to Tanger outlets a few times a year. I always go in the crocs store. I have about 8 pair of crocs. My favorite pair are my boat shoes i have every color. I walked in and was greated buy an older women about 55 she was condescending and passive aggressive. I told her i was looking for the grey on grey shoes and that i love them and wear them daily. She said they are made for wearing on a boat and since i dont look like i have a boat i should not be wearing them. I said they are very comfortable all around and a great shoe. She then made seceral comments about how she is more manly then i am because she hunts and walks on fishing hooks. I ignored the aggressive confrontational advances and continued to shop. She does not belong in customer service she belongs in the woods where she can wear her boots and be manly. I waited a week before posting this because i wanted to see if it was worth saying and it is well worth the effort. I hope she learns the definition of customer service. Its not a pissing contest with the customer.
We got the $5.00 coupon book from the mall office. Went to CROC store. Decided to use the $15.00 off coupon on one of the most expensive shoes in the store. Employee said couldnt use the coupon because it was ONE PENNY (before tax) from the minimum. Told us it was TANGIER CORORATE that made the rules and CROCS had to make some money. Told HIM to keep his shoes and walked out OVER a PENNY. POOR PR and a rather poor way to get business. Your employees could use a little training in customer relations too.
