Fresh produce is great. Meat department is like the old butcher shops back in the 50's. Tge store is always clean.
Nice, clean, well kept store. Well laid out and many quality products. A pricey, but the quality is above and beyond most stores and it's quality is far above Whole Foods any day of the week. It's worth the trip just to check it out, but guarantee you will not leave there empty handed.
While the prices are higher then most grocery stores they do have good specials, like this week salmon for$7.99 a lb and on Tuesdays they have ground chuck for$2.99 can't beat that. They also have boneless chicken breast for $2.99. I haven't tried their meals but they offer meals to go for 4 for $20 with an entree sides and a dessert and they give you options. Fastest card reader I've seen too!
Spent a few months, during the summer, at the Rehoboth Yacht Club development just around the corner from The Fresh Market. I decided to do some grocery shopping there, since it was convenient. The Fresh Market has a phenomenonal selection to choose from, at phenomenally high prices. Additionally, too many patrons there looked a tad uptight and were a bit over-zealous, as they navigated their carts around the store, cutting others off. I concluded that I would be a tad uptight too, if I was paying those kind of prices. I was not impressed.
Just got home with 4 ChateauBriand filets and they were putrid smelling. I was shocked. Usually great meat selection but these cuts of meat were horrendous. Being a local, we have been very pleased with FM but after this episode we are very cautious. Just spoke with the manager and we are returning for a full refund. What a bummer. Thought they held themselves to a much higher (fresh) standard than the other grocers in the area. Disappointed to say the least.
