I loved all the reviews, soley I picked this place because of these reviews. Unfortunately we have been very upset with our stay. The playground is completely closed, with just yellow tape. There was warning of this and no one let us know when we checked in. We chose a spot right next to the playground for that reason , just would of changed our spot so we constantly did not have to be yelling at children not to be tempted to go over there. Also all the tent sites are on top of each other. The water yes wonderful, short walk. This place is great for teens, older families, but not us with younger ones.
Regular tables in the shade not busy at all. The bar area had a good number of people. Easy in/out by boat, nice kid helping tie up at the dock. Food was good and so was the service.
Here this weekend. The campers staying in the lot next to us are taking up 1/3 of our lot. We reported this to management since we cannot fit all of our stuff in our lot now. They said they would ensure that the campers next to us moved their tent to their lot. It is now 11:00PM, more than 5 hours later, trying to sleep, and we are still invaded by the campers left of us. Management did not remediate their tent being in our lot and invading our privacy. We paid for this lot, yet we do not get the lot... one star.
Good camping spots, sometimes holds events. Has a bar in the northern side, great food. Good for fishing, a lot of false albacore lately. Has charter boats.
I enjoy camping however, in the bathroom there was only one working since and two working toilets. The one was full of feces all day and the bathroom was never cleaned. The playground equipment was out of order which sucked because I have two young children. The only benefit was the beach was within reasonable walking distance. That's the only reason I gave this two stars.
