I attended the 9:15am service on 11/12/2017. The music was great and I was greeted by a lovely man as soon as my boyfriend and I walked through the door - so it was very welcoming. I didn’t enjoy the emphasis they put on equal rights at all. I felt like I was learning more about how LGBTQ people were not accepted in some churches instead of actually hearing the word of god. Many people were wearing rainbow scarfs - I didn’t like that either. If we are all equal I don’t understand why such an emphasis was put on certain individuals because of their sexual preference... gay straight transgender it doesn’t matter.. it’s church. Needless to say I won’t be returning.
This place is really nice, very welcoming. They have lunches multiple times a week, host meetings. They genuinely care about making their community a better place.
This church is amazing! Im very thankful for this great place, the members are wonderful people Who care. Epworth has great programs, like the good smaritan which feeds the hungry, and helps out with other needs.
