The winter of 2015 we made rings at Heidi's shop. It was the best experience we had. We quickly found out through the wedding process that there is a lot of unneeded "fluff". But as I tell people, despite all the wedding planning/ industry B-S, making our rings at Heidi's studio was REAL. It was an incredible experience. We re-used both of my grandfathers rings and the grooms father's spare ring to make these truly remarkable branch/ wood grain rings. Heidi was amazing throughout the process. She simply said:
Super cute girls
Heidi is an amazing maker, teacher, curator and artist. The gallery always has a changing selection of exciting, interesting, compelling work, including hers. I buy all my earrings from her gallery, amongst other pieces and always get compliments about them whenever I wear them. Heidi is a warm, welcoming, creative force of nature. She is the opposite of pretentious and is dedicated to educating and presenting artists' jewelry to the public.
Our experience for my engagement/wedding ring with Heidi was absolutely amazing. She blended a perfect amount of her creative input with our vision. I never tire of looking at my ring. I had worked with Heidi several times before, once designing a custom bracelet around my favorite collected shark's tooth. Again, she designed exactly what I had in mind even though I felt I was not explaining it well! Heidi is professional, fun, and so talented. I can't imagine ever working with another artist for jewelry. Last but not least, she works hard and pays attention to detail when bringing in beautiful talent to sell in her shop. If not a piece by Heidi one can always find something perfect by one of the other artists in her gallery.
Heidi was a bubbly, bright and talented sensei who allowed us into her workshop to teach us how to make our own amazing rings. It was a pleasure and a memorable event.
"I don't why people go to the store to do this, when it's so much fun and more personalized this way."
I couldn't agree with her more. We were so happy with our rings that when we got them back we started to wear them right away and have since. Our wedding is this September. I truly recommend this everyone. My fiance who wasn't really into any of the wedding stuff had such a great time with the hands on experience and couldn't stop telling all his friends about the neat adventure we had. It's a memory that will last a lifetime with us, and one day maybe our grandchildren will do something similar with our rings. We are thankful that Heidi offered this service and we always recommend this as a must do to our friends : )
